Mercedes-Benz has announced a recall of more than 500,000 vehicles in China due to a potential safety issue with the brake booster. The recall affects models manufactured between 2016 and 2023, including the C-Class, E-Class, GLC, and GLC Coupe. According to the company, a loose brake booster could potentially lead to a loss of braking power, increasing the risk of an accident.
Owners of affected vehicles are advised to bring their cars to the nearest Mercedes-Benz dealership for inspection and repair. The repair, which involves replacing the brake booster, will be carried out free of charge. Mercedes-Benz has also set up a hotline for customers to inquire about the recall and schedule an appointment for repair.
