Sabres Camp Day #4: Details on Sabres vs. Penguins Scrimmage and Projected Lineup
Sabres Hold Internal Scrimmage
The Buffalo Sabres took to the ice for their first scrimmage of training camp on Saturday, September 24th. The intrasquad scrimmage was closed to the public, but The Buffalo News was able to provide some details on the game. The scrimmage was played in a 3-on-3 format, with two 12-minute periods. The Blue Team, coached by assistant coach Jason Christie, defeated the White Team, coached by assistant coach Marty Wilford, 6-5 in a shootout. Tage Thompson scored two goals for the Blue Team, while J.J. Peterka, Casey Mittelstadt, Jack Quinn, and Rasmus Asplund each added one. For the White Team, Vinnie Hinostroza scored twice, while Owen Power, Jacob Bryson, and Peyton Krebs each scored once.
